So anyway, My suggestion is start with FF9 or 10 and then go back and play 1, 2, 4, 6, and 7. This day and age FF7 hasn't aged all that well and while its still a phenomenal RPG, I can see why newer audiences may not see the appeal in that PS1 Era graphical fidelity. FF6 and 7 are widely debated as being the "best" in the series, but it really comes down to personal preference. I played FF1, 2, and 3 all my Iphone recently and frankly, they played well on that platform. That all being said, I strongly encourage you to go back and replay the older FF's over time. So you cannot go wrong with either 10 or 9. It has alot of old school charm to it but still has modern day amenities that keep it fresher than some of the older FF games. FF9 was created a throwback to the original FF games before 7. That being said, my personal favorite is FF9. It was the first "Modern" FF game with voice acting and such and with it being on PC it is easy to access and play.
